Explain the role of the cell membrane during passive transport and active transport
irinina [24]

Membrane proteins that aid in the passive transport of substances do so without the use of ATP. During active transport, ATP is required to move a substance across a membrane, often with the help of protein carriers, and usually against its concentration gradient.

Ymorist [56]

Answer:

Depends...

Explanation:

You need to include more information regarding the question. If the question is referring to the roots of the plant then the answer would be water. If the questions asks about the area of the leaves/amount of leaves then it would be sunlight. If the question is talking about stomatal pores then it would be carbon dioxide.

Hope this helps,

How are the plants in a desert ecosystem most likely to differ from the plants in a rain forest ecosystem?
erik [133]
Hey,

I believe this answer is A: The desert plants are likely to be better at retaining water.

Which they do, and they have to cause water is very scarce in the desert unlike the rain forest.

Desert plants likely to be larger is not proven and most plants can vary in size.

Narrower stems may have something to do with it but that goes back to they have to hold more water so this is incorrect.

Brighter flowers doesn't have anything to do with water consumption within a plant so this is incorrect as well.

Hope this helps!
