Find the exact values of x and r

Mathematics

Answer:

Below

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use sine law to solve this : sina / A = sinb / B

We will first find side x

We know that since this is a special triangle that side will = 28, but we can prove this mathematically :

sin(45) / 28 = sin(45) / x

= 28 sin(45) / sin(45)

x = 28

Now to find side r just use Pythagorean theorem a^2 + b^2 = c^2 :

c^2 = 28^2 + 28^2

      = 1568

Square root this number

r = 39.597

The just round to however your teacher wants

If you didn't already know about special triangles, an isosceles right triangle like this one has a ratio which is the two legs will equal each other, while the hypotenuse is √2a . You could have also used this to solve.

Hope this helps! Best of luck.

Fill in the blanks below.
Crank
The slope for the first one would be:
y2-y1/x2-x1, so replace those with the coordinates and you'll get:
-3-1/-7-(-7) => -4/0 so I guess the slope is zero

the slope for the second one would be:
-3-(-3)/5-(-4)=> 0/9 I think this one would be undefined.
Check to make sure, though!

What is the exact volume of a cylinder that has a height of 1.8 ft and a radius of 6.1 ft?
lozanna [386]
Cylinder area=height times area of base (area of base=area of circle)

height =1.8
radius=6.1
area of circle=pi times r^2

area of circle=pi times 6.1^2=37.21π
times height

1.8 times 37.21π=66.978π

volume=66.978π ft^3
