3 0

Answer:

y+2-x=0

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

(-3,-5)=(x1,y1)

(3,1)=(x2,y2)

Slope(m)=y2-y1/x2-x1

=1-(-5)/3-(-3)

=1+5/3+3

=6/6

=1

Mid point=(x1+x2/2 , y1+y2/2)

=(-3+3/2 , -5+1/2)

=(0/2 , -4/2)

=(0 , -2)

Now, (0,-2)=(x1,y1)

Equation:

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y+2=1(x-0)

y+2=1x

y+2-x=0 is the required equation.

What is the length of BC in the right triangle below?
gayaneshka [121]

Hey there! :)

Answer:

C. BC = 39 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for BC. Let BC = c, AB = a, and AC = b.

c² = a² + b²

c² = 15² + 36²

Square and simplify:

c² = 225 + 1296

c² = 1521

c = √1521

c = 39 units.

Therefore:

BC = 39 units.

The diagram below gives the dimensions of a swimming pool. 18 ft , 20ft, 36ft (c) What is the total area of the swimming pool? E
WARRIOR [948]
The picture in the attached figure

Part 1) What is the total area of the swimming pool?

we know that
area of the swimming pool=area rectangle-area semi circle

area rectangle=20*36-----> 720 ft²

area semicircle=pi*r²/2
r=18/2----> 9 ft
area semicircle=pi*9²/2----> 127.17 ft²

area of the swimming pool=720 ft²-127.17 ft²----> 592.83 ft²

the answer Part 1) is
The area of the swimming pool is 592.83 ft²

Part 2) What is the perimeter of the swimming pool?

perimeter of the swimming pool=perimeter of rectangle-18 ft+perimeter semi circle
perimeter of rectangle=2*[20+36]---> 112 ft

perimeter semi circle=2*pi*r/2----> pi*r
r=9 ft
perimeter semi circle=pi*9----> 28.26 ft
so
perimeter of the swimming pool=112 ft-18 ft+28.26 ft----> 122.26 ft

the answer Part 2) is
122.26 ft

That means that the first rectangle and the first triangle ave athe same perimiter

so therefor
perimiter=sides added up
rectangle has 4 sides bu 2 is given so double it since the other side is same legnth
rec=x+x+4
multiply 2
2x+2x+8=4x+8=perimiter
this is equal to perimiter of triangle which is
x+9+x+5+x=3x+14
therefor
4x+8=3x+14
subtract 3x from both sides
x+8=14
subtract 8 from both sides
x=6
first one x=6

second rectangle and second triangle
s+7 and 3s
2 sides
2s+14+6s=p
8s+14=p

traignel=2s+12+2s+12+2s+12=6s+36=p
they are equal so
8s+14=6s+36
subtract 6s from both sides
2s+14=36
subtract 14 from both sides
2s=22
divide both sideds by 2
s=11

the values are
pair one:
x=6

pair 2:
s=11
