ex: 2x+24 = 5x-8 (something like that)

and whatever answer you get that is x

then solve the equation using x and that'll give you angle y

for the one on the right, add the two expressions to 180

ex: 3x-10+2x=180

plug it in to one of the angle expressions and with that measurement subtract that from 180 and you'll get y

"x" always goes on the left side and "y" always goes on the right side of the parentheses. If you only have an "x" then you will just put a zero in for "y" and vice versa. I hope this helps.
