Answer;

Because it is cheaper to prevent an illness than to treat an illness

Explanation;

-Health Maintenance Organization(HMO) plans offer a wide range of healthcare services through a network of providers who agree to supply services to members.

-According to HMOs it is better to prevent disease rather than to try to find cures for diseases after they occur, therefore they encourage healthy lifestyle practices.

-Prevention typically consists of methods or activities that seek to reduce or deter specific or predictable problems, protect the current state of well-being, or promote desired outcomes or behaviors.

Which is an abiotic factor that affects a freshwater ecosystem apex?
mina [271]
My guess is that fat-soluble toxins that may occur in freshwater ecosystems would most affect apex species in these ecosystems. This is because fat-soluble toxins are stored in the fat reserves of animals, and then bioaccumulate up the food chain. So in this case, most of the toxin is not secreted, but stored within the food chain, and bioaccumulates, with the concentration becoming higher the further up the food chain.

If the number of trees on earth continues to decrease significantly, what might be the result?
lozanna [386]

Answer: c. a and b

Trees play vital roles in the production of oxygen as well as the fixation of carbon from CO_{2}. As trees use nitrogen, phosphorus and water as nutrients for growth, their diminishing numbers would change the balance between these three elements significantly.

Thus, during rains, the water level will rise much faster and higher in the absence of trees. These could possibly lead to increasing cases of devastating landslides.
