Fossil fuel combustion: It discharges greenhouse gases into the air. The hydrocarbons, mainly the fuel oil, coal, or natural gas, produced from the remnants of dead animals and plants are known as fossil fuels. The combustion of fossil fuels is one of the biggest sources of carbon dioxide emission in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gases resulting in global warming.  

Use of fertilizers and pesticides: The application of fertilizers and pesticides pollutes the soil that is fertile, due to the presence of toxic constituents in them.  

Deforestation: It makes the soil more susceptible to the process of erosion as the trees play the role of holding the soil together.
