Syphilis when is exposed to a dry environment, is inactivated; also cannot be transmitted by contact with contaminated surfaces due to it is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterium, the infection is clearly occur in contact with human secretions especially genital and blood or secretions of an infected patient.
In addition, a bacterium cannot live for more than 8 hours if the conditions are not suitable.
