1) -7+2= -5

2) 4+-3= 1

3) -9+2= -7

4) 4+-8= -4

5) -3+6= 3

6) -5+3= -2

7) -1+9= 8

Do you see a pattern? What do you notice?

I noticed that when you are adding a larger positive number with a smaller negative number the answer will be positive; and if you are adding a larger negative number with a smaller positive number, the answer will be negative.
