If the documents have been made available under an Open Content Licence (especially Creative Commons Licences), you may exercise further usage rights as specified in the indicated licence.There are some benefits of overpopulation, more people means more labor force, it can product more things, and more people will buy the products, However, the growth of population should be similar to the food supply, so overpopulation will cause lack of food, and as the rate of growth of population exceeds the rate of.Rapid population growth creates problems of unemployment because manpower increases with the increase in population. It is not possible to provide job to all the people because government has limited resources and means and so it can create only limited opportunities.Population may be considered positive hindrance in the way of economic development of a country. In a 'capital poor' and technologically backward country, growth of population reduces output by lowering the per capita availability of capital. Too much population is not good for economic development.Population growth increases food demand and therefore the demand for agricultural land. Since rationally acting agents use the economically most suitable resource first, additional agricultural land is likely to be less profitable.In addition, the population growth also leads to negative impacts on the environment such as increasing waste water, household waste, and other industrial wastes due to human has increased their activities of industrial production.Population growth causes a disproportionate negative impact on the environment. Problems of population size and growth, resource utilization and depletion, and environmental deterioration must be considered jointly and on a global basis.One of the largest environmental effects of human population growth is the problem of global warming. Some scientists fear that global warming will lead to rising sea levels and extreme weather conditions in the future. In order to support the growing population, forests are being destroyed at an alarming rate.Overpopulation of humans leads to deforestation which is responsible for climatic change. The more is the population, the demand for resources and food grows. This leads to an over-exploitation of resources.

According to the National Health Survey, the heights of adult males in the United States are normally distributed with mean 69.0
liberstina [14]

Answer:  (a)  0.927

(b) 14.2%

Explanation:

Given : According to the National Health Survey, the heights of adult males in the United States are normally distributed .

Mean : \mu=69

Standard deviation : \sigma=2.8

Let X be a random variable that represents the heights of adult males in the United States .

Z-score : z=\dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

(a) For x= 64

z=\dfrac{64-69}{2.8}\approx-1.79

For x= 74

z=\dfrac{74-69}{2.8}\approx1.79

Using the standard normal distribution table , we have

The deviation 2.8 inches. (a) What is the probability that an adult male chosen at random is between 64 and 74 inches tall :-

P(64

Hence, the probability that an adult male chosen at random is between 64 and 74 inches tall = 0.927

b) Since 1 feet = 12 inches

Then , 6 feet = 6\times12=72\text{ inches}

The z-score corresponds to x=72 :

z=\dfrac{72-69}{2.8}\approx1.07

Then , the probability that the adult male population is more than 6 feet tall :-

P(x>72)=P(z>1.07)=1-P(z

Hence, the  percentage of the adult male population is more than 6 feet tall = 14.2%

What types of outdoor activities can be impacted by pollution and how can they be affected?
Rufina [12.5K]
Well, pollution has to do with littering in the water? If so, I'm thinking that it would have to do with activities such as swimming, diving, and possibly ice hockey? Not so positive on the hockey part though?
The pollution of the water would create chemicals that would spread throughout the water and if someone went into the water, it could effect their lungs since you are breathing it.
It's basically like when you forget to put the top on your hot tub and you get algae.
