Answer:

n=4

Step-by-step explanation:

n is 4 because 10(4)=40 the n represents a number and because there is nothing in between we know to multiply them, because we know that do the opposite of the question which is 40/10=4 meaning that n=4

Since were trying to solve for n, you have to isolate it so you would divide both sides by 10, and that will give you n = 4

James has $5.00 more than three times what Catherine has. Together they have $41.00. How much does each student have?
Tpy6a [65]
Hey.

acc'g to the conditions :

Let Catherine has x
and James has 5 + 3x

Then,

5 + 4x = 41 \\ \\ \implies 4x +5 -5 = 41-5 \\ \\ \implies 4x = 36 \\ \\ \implies x= \dfrac{36}{4} \\ \\ \implies x = 9

Hence

• Catherine has = x = $9,
• and James has = 5 +3x = 5 + 3(9) = $32

Thanks.

The midsegment of a trapezoid is always parallel to each base true or false
Deffense [45]

Answer:

True

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The <u><em>Trapezoid Mid-segment Theorem</em></u> states that : A line connecting the midpoints of the two legs of a trapezoid is parallel to the bases, and its length is equal to half the sum of lengths of the bases

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

EF is the mid-segment of trapezoid

EF is parallel to AB and is parallel to CD

EF=(AB+CD)/2

so

The mid-segment of a trapezoid is always parallel to each base

therefore

The statement is true

How do I solve this equation (5x+9) + (3x-2)
Andru [333]
Okie, so you have 2 polynomials separated by a plus sign. If there were a number in front of the polynomial, you would need to factor, as well as if there was a negative sign. But there is just an addition sign so you just add as you would normally.
5x + 9 + 3x - 2 = 8x +7
I hope this helps :-)
