We use this formula:

Weight on the second planet = \frac{Weight on the first planer}{Table weight on the first planet} × Table weight on the second planet

So,

Weight on Venus = \frac{90}{120} × 109.2

                             = 3 x 27.3

                             = 81.9

Weight on earth = \frac{55}{45.6} × 120

                           = 144.7

Weight on Uranus = \frac{350}{304.8} × 96

                               = 110.2

Weight on Mercury = \frac{115}{109.2} × 45.6

                                = 48

Answer:

a)

                 Venus: 81.9 pounds

b)

                  Earth: 144.7 pounds

c)

                   Uranus: 110.2 pounds

d)

                Mercury: 48 pounds.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that: when earth weighs 120 pounds.

Then

weight of : Mercury=45.6 pounds

                  Venus= 109.2 pounds

                Uranus = 96 pounds

               Jupiter= 304.8 pounds

a)

If Earth weighs= 90 pounds

when Earth weighs 120 pounds then weight of Venus= 109.2 pounds

If Earth weighs 1 pounds then weight of Venus= 109.2/120

i.e.

If Earth weighs 90 pounds then weight of Venus= (109.2/120)×90

i.e.

If Earth weighs 90 pounds then weight of Venus= 81.9 pounds

b)

Mercury: 55 pounds

When Mercury weighs 45.6 pounds then weight of Earth=120 pounds

Hence,

when Mercury weighs 1 pounds then weight of Earth=120/45.6 pounds.

when Mercury weighs 55 pounds then weight of Earth=(120/45.6)×55 pounds.

when Mercury weighs 55 pounds then weight of Earth=144.7 pounds.

c)

Jupiter: 350 pounds

When Jupiter weighs 304.8 pounds then weight of Uranus=96 pounds.

when Jupiter weighs 1 pounds then weight of Uranus=96/304.8 pounds.

when Jupiter weighs 350 pounds then weight of Uranus=(96/304.8)×350 pounds.

when Jupiter weighs 350 pounds then weight of Uranus=110.2 pounds.

d)

Venus: 115 pounds

When Venus weighs 109.2 pounds then weight of Mercury=45.6 pounds.

when Venus weighs 1 pounds then weight of Mercury=45.6/109.2 pounds.

when Venus weighs 115 pounds then weight of Mercury=(45.6/109.2)×115 pounds.

when Venus weighs 115 pounds then weight of Mercury=48 pounds.

What are the correct answers to this math sheet?
EastWind [94]
1.
a. your answer is correct
b. 60 and hndreths=60.08
c. 16 and 8 thousanths=16.008
d. 60 and 8 tenths=60.8
e. your answer is correct
f. your answer is correct

2. 16.207, 6.9, 16.19, 16.26
so the greatest is obviously one of the 16's
compare
16.207, 16.190, 16.260
obviously, the order is 16.260,16.207,16.190
then the last one is 6.9 so the order is 16.26,16.207, 16.19, 6.9 and the numbers in order is 2,4,3,1

3. I can't see the puzzle that well, but 11.88 is more than 11.50 since 0.88 is more than 0.50

4. can't see the puzzle that mmuch
hundreths is 0.0x x is the hundrreths since exg 1/100=1 hundreths=0.01

5. remember if the number is more than five round up and if less than 4 round down so
10.5, 10.6, 10.7 10.8 10.9 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 would work

6. tenth=0.8 so the numbers could be 17.81, 17.82 17,83

7.rembmber the decimal places and line them up so again
6.081, 6.082 6.083 and so on

8. 1/2=0.5 or 0.50000

9. the greatest decimal
first find the greatest whole number
60
then find all the 60's and read from left to right the numbers after the decimal, the biggest number to the left is bigger, if they are the same, move one place to the right and count again

10. I can't seee the puzzzle very clearly but hte answer is pirates

antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

The airplane reaches its maximum height of 74 feet in 14 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

The easiest thing to do here is to plug in the two numbers given in the answer choices. Finding the height at 14 seconds and the height after 74 seconds is straightforward from here.

h (14) = -(14-14)²+ 74

h (14) = 0 + 74

h (14) = 74

h (74) = -(74-14)² + 74

h (74) = -(60)² + 74

h (74) = -3600 + 74

h (74) = -3,526

Now, we know that a height of an airplane won't be negative, as the height below the ground cannot be reached.

because our equation includes -(t-14)², any number greater than 14 will be a larger negative than 0--setting the height to an impossible number.

{However, we add +74 feet, so our t-14 could be any number that is less than 74 when squared (after first subtracting 14 from the number). Numbers like 15, (resulting in subtracting 1 from 74), 16 (resulting in -4 from 74), 17 (74-9), 18 (74-16), 19 (74-25), 20 (74-36), 21 (74-49), 22 (74-64) are still above the minimum input}

{So, our t could be up to 22, and any number above this maximum limit, such as 23, result in a height of 0}

for example: -(23-14)² + 74

-(9)² = -81

-81 + 74 = -7

All numbers below 14, which would end in an eventual negative outcome [ -(x)² = negative if x < 0 ]

are greater than a t of 14.

-(13-14)² = -1

; showing that t = 14 is our maximum height

(remember that if you have -(x)² you get the negative version of x² [pemdas. the negative outside of the parenthesis is equivalent to multiplying the parenthesis by -1. (E)xponents comes before (M)ultiplication].)
