What is the value of i^97 - i

Mathematics
1 answer:

8 0

Answer:

0

Step-by-step explanation:

i^1 = i

i^2 = - 1

i^3 = i^2 * i = - 1

i^4 = i^2 * i^2 = -1 * -1 = 1

Now the circle just repeats itself. So what you do is find out the remainder of i^97 which you divide by 4. What you get is 24 with a remainder of 1.

So i^97 = i

i - i = 0

The answer is 0

A tv is $850. The sale for the tv was 20% off the original price but you can take an additional 15% off at the register
klasskru [66]
So from what I understand of the problem, the tv costs $850 at a discounted price of 20%. and other than the 20%, you can get an additional discount of 15% at the counter. So to solve this, you can just simply multiply 850 with 35% or 0.35. The answer to that will be $297.5. Now you then have to less this amount with 850. The final answer to that is 552.5. So after all the discounts that you have received from the store, then the final price that you can get for this tv set would be $552.5

Can Someone help me with this problem?
igor_vitrenko [27]
If the temperature is the same in Farenheit and Celsius, the variable F is equal to the variable C in the equation. Thus, you'll just need to replace one or both variables in the original equation and solve for the single variable. I'll just use x as the variable here:

F = 1.8C + 32
x = 1.8x + 32

subtract x from both sides

0 = 0.8x + 32

subtract 32 from both sides

-32 = 0.8x

divide both sides by 0.8

-40 = x

So, since we know x = -40 degrees, we also know that F = -40° and C = -40° too.

AC is tangent to circle o at point C.
What is the measure of <OAC
erica [24]

∠OAC = 27°

Step-by-step explanation:

When a line is tangent to a circle, the part where the radius meets with the line of tangency will be a right angle. Since we know this, we know that ∠C is equal to 90°. We also know that all of the angles in a triangle will add up to be 180°.

We can now add up the two angles we know and subtract it from 180° to get the measurement of ∠OAC.

90+63=153

180-153=27

∠OAC = 27°
