Answer: language is the main consequence of Spanish imperialism, another one is a hybridization or creolization (Spanish-Indians) in Latin America

Explanation: Spanish Imperialism started long before the British one because it had support of medieval papacy (along with Portuguese imperialism). It means that the imperial idea (Phillip II) was very old and is still very present in some countries of Latin America. Losing last parts of its imperial realm, Spain suffered a great existential crises (late 19 century) ...Franco´s Spain still  cherished imperial idea (idea and imagery appreciated in conservative circles).

Why did some fugitives go to Canada instead of staying in northern states?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Some fugitives went to Canada instead of staying in northern states because they risked being captured in northern states.

Explanation:

During the time of slavery in the southern United States, escaping slaves had to leave the southern states in order to guarantee (to some extent) their freedom. Even so, many times the owners crossed the Mason-Dixon Line and captured the fugitives, either in open places in front of anyone, or with the collusion of the authorities. Therefore, once the Underground Railroad (the organization that was in charge of helping the slaves to escape) was formed, many routes were directed directly to Canada, so as not to saturate the routes to the great northern cities such as New York, as to guarantee the safety of slaves in a country that had abolished slavery in 1807.

In 1992, the palestinians wanted ________ in gaza and in jericho.
Viktor [21]

The correct answer is Limited Self- Rule.

Palestinians wanted Limited Self- rule in Gaza and Jericho in 1992. Israelis claimed that this region ( Gaza strip) is rightfully theirs according to the Biblical Israel land, on the other hand, the Palestinian wanted to have their own nation as this region lies outside the UN recognized borders. By the Gaza- Jericho agreement Israel promised to withdraw partly from Gaza and Jericho. This agreement, therefore, resulted in the transfer of power from Israel to the Palestinian authority. Yasser Arafat became the first Prime minister of Palestine.

Answer:

Smith

Explanation:

Although Jones won more votes from the people when added all together, Smith won more electoral votes. In state A Smith was voted the most so he won 10 electoral votes and in State B Jones was voted more and won 9 electoral votes. Since 10 votes is larger than 9 Smith won. Basically Smith won the most votes in a state that had more people so more electoral votes in total, and because of that he got more electoral votes which resulted in his victory.
