(I'LL GIVE BRAINLIEST) Carson wanted to buy a cowboy hat that cost $49.95 (with tax) at a souvenir shop. He knew he had $18 at h

ome already, and he could earn $10 per lawn by mowing lawns for his neighbors. He came up with the following expression to figure out how many lawns he would need to mow in order to purchase the hat: M = 10w + 18 with "w" being the number of lawns he would need to mow and "M" being the total amount of money he has.
Carson then determined he would need to mow 3 lawns by completing the follow steps:
50 = 10w + 18
32 = 10w
3.2 = w

Identify Carson's error. Explain the steps to correctly solve for how many lawns Carson needs to mow. Be sure to clearly state the correct answer.

Answer:

so Carson's problem was at the end, since the neighbors are paying 10$ PER DAY, and 3 days work would only earn him 30$ meaning at the end he would be a dollar short, technically, he needs to work exactly 3.2 days, or...

let's say he works 4 hrs a day

1 Day = 4Hr

3.2 Days = X

X = 3.2 × 4

= 12.8 Hrs

so Carson needs to work 3 days and an extra 48 Minutes

Answer:

The probability of drawing the first pink ball is \frac{3}{10}.

Because you drew that first pink ball, there are two pink balls left and the total number of balls left is nine.

Hence, the probability of drawing another pink ball after drawing the first pink ball would be:

\frac{3}{10} *\frac{2}{9} =\frac{1}{15}

Claudia works as a manufacturer of decorative jewelry boxes. A customer would like her to create some boxes with the following c
KiRa [710]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Presuming  represents the length of the box (which you should have specified), your volume function:

is correct.

V(x)=-x^3+33x^2-90x=0

Obviously, in order to have a box, all three dimensions must be positive numbers.

Since the height is 3 less than the length, the length must be greater than 3 so that the height will be greater than zero. Since the sum of length and width is 30, the length must be less than 30. Hence, the possible range of values for  is

If you know enough calculus to be able to take the derivative of this function, set the first derivative equal to zero and solve. You will obtain two possible extrema. Only one of these extrema will lie in the the acceptable range of values,

If you don't know the Calculus, then the best you can do is to graph the function and eyeball it.

simone has discovered a blow out sale at a shop in the mall. the cost of the 2 sweaters , 5 shirts and 3 pairs of pants is 172.
Artyom0805 [142]
For this you will need to calculate the number of sweaters - 7x. Then you need to calculate the number of shirts - 9y. Last you need to calculate the number of pants - 12z. To balance the equation, you must calculate the total price $172+$269+$74 = $515. The equation is 7x+9y+12z = $515.
