Answer:

-8.3 + 9.2 - 4.4 + 3.7

= -8.3 + 9.2 + (-4.4) + 3.7            {Additive inverse}

= -8.3 + (-4.4) + 9.2 + 3.7            {Commutative Property}

= [ -8.3 + (-4.4] + [ 9.2 + 3.7]       {Associative property}

=  - 12.7 + 12.9

= 0.2

How do the values compare? Order the values from least to greatest.
aleksley [76]
Im pretty sure it would be ordered: -2 1/2, -1/2, |1/2|, 1 1/2, |-2|, |-2 1/2|

This is because
-1/2 stays as -1/2
the absolute value of |-2| is 2
the absolute value of |1/2| is 1/2
the absolute value of |-2 1/2| is 2 1/2
-2 1/2 stays as -2 1/2
and 1 1/2 stays the same as well.
If you take all these numbers (-1/2, 2, 1/2, 2 1/2, -2 1/2, and 1 1/2) and order them from least to greatest, you would get:
-2 1/2, -1/2, 1/2, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2
which is -2 1/2, -1/2, |1/2|, 1 1/2, |-2|, |-2 1/2|

Im not exactly sure if it is all correct, but i hope this helps! :)
