Based on the table below, determine the exponential function being used. Use x as your variable. Then, evaluate this expression
marta [7]

The exponential function is used. Use x as your variable common ratio.

This is pretty obviously

If it wasn't obvious we can find the common ratio r by dividing successive values:

5/1=5

25/5=5

125/25=5

625/125=5

<h3>What is the common ratio?</h3>

The common ratio is the number you multiply or divide by at each stage of the sequence. You can find it by dividing two consecutive pairs of terms.

That's the common ratio.  We multiply by the first term, but the first term is one, so that has no effect.

Solve for x. Show your work.
puteri [66]
So, these are actually pretty simple once you learn the equality used to solve for "x" and when to implement this method. You can use this equality to solve for a segment "x" anytime that two secant lines cutting through a circle come from the same point outside the circle.

Secant: by geometric definition is just a straight line that cuts a curve into multiple pieces.

I did one of them for you hopefully you can use my work for "a" to help you solve for "b".  For a. I got x=7.

F(-2) = -1 and g(1) = -2<br> (Fog)(1)
yulyashka [42]

The value of the composite function fog(1) is -1

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 :

Given,

 f(-2) = -1

g(1) = -2

We need to find (fog)(1)

Step 2 :

Function f(2) means the value of the function f when x = 2

fog refers to composite function f(g(x)), that is evaluate the function g for x and then evaluate the function f for the result

So to find the composite function (fog)(1) we need to find g(1) first and then apply the function f on the result.

so g(1) = -2

f(g(1))=f(-2) = -1

fog(1) = -1

Step 3 :

Answer :

The value of the composite function is -1
