Step-by-step explanation:

shape BCD is an isosceles triangle meaning the base angles will be the same.

CA is a straight line meaning that it is 180

the sum of angles in a triangle always is 180

so

180-36= 144

to find x you need to half 144 as it is the sum of the base angles of the isosceles triangle.

144/2= 72

x=72

the angle just below y is also 72.

as CA is a straight line,

180-72= 108 giving you the answer for y

y= 108

so to make the answer clear

x= 72

y= 108

hope that helped! :)

Answer

Given: Area of ∆ABC = 36,

Area of ∆PQR = 64

AB = 12

The correspondence ABC ↔ PQR is a similarity.

To find: PQ = ?

For this,

Recall the property,

Ratio of areas of two similar triangles = Ratio of squares of the corresponding sides

⇒Area of ∆PQR / Area of ∆ABC = PQ /AB) ²

⇒64/36 = (

⇒ PQ /AB √ 64/36

⇒PQ / AB = 8/6

⇒AB × 8/6

⇒ 12 × 8/6

⇒ PQ = 2 × 8

⇒ PQ = 16

Thus, answer is 16.

Answer:

10 mm

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras' identity with hypotenuse h

The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other 2 sides, that is

h² = 9² + (\sqrt{19} )² = 81 + 19 = 100 ( take the square root of both sides )

h = \sqrt{100} = 10
