Used a calculator
9/5×c+32 I.e.
if it is equal to 0 then
c=-32 ×5/9
c = -160/9
Because the triangles are similar, corresponding sides have the same ratio.
.. AB/DE = BC/EC = AC/DC
.. 24/18 = 8/y = (15 +x)/15
Then we can solve for x and y.
.. x = 15*(24/18) -15 = 5
.. y = 8*(18/24) = 6
