In kaycee's she wrote 12/3 = 9/c, which was supposed to be 12/3 = c/9 or 3/12 = 9/c

The two ways to write the proportion are,
12/3 = c/9
or 3/12 = 9/c

Answer:

Kaycee did not keep lemonade and dollars in corresponding positions in the ratios of the proportion. The proportion should be 12/3=c/9 or it could be written 3/12=9/c. Dollars should be in the same position and cups should be in the same position across ratios.

Step-by-step explanation:

35x+10. How do I solve this?
kicyunya [14]

Hey there Bfarrar07 !

This is pretty simple when you think about it.

With algebra problems like this, you want to set it equal to zero.

So your first step is to take 35x + 10 and set it equal to zero.

35x + 10 = 0

Then bring the 10 to the other side by subtracting it, so you have something like this:

35x + 10 (-10) = -10 (Remember, what you do to one side you have to do to the other!) So when you take 10 from the left, you have to take ten from the right.

You now have 35x = -10

In order to get x by itself, you need to divide the problem by 35.

35x/35 = -10/35

On the left hand side, the 35's cancel out, so you're left with x.

And on the right hand side you have -10/35

So x = -10/35 (Don't forget to simplify!)

-10/35 can be reduced to -5/7

X = - 5/7

Hope this helps!

Write the explicit
rule for the nth term.
Then find a71.
{O, -8, -16, -24 ...}
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

{0, -8, -16, -24,...} here you add -8 each time so the rule is

a_{1} = 0, a_{n} = a_{n-1} -8

the 71 term is

a_{71} = 0 + (71 - 1) * (-8) = 70 * (-8) = -560
