Answer:

DEF Ltd is a global leader in the manufacture, integration and support of networking and telecommunications systems. The company sells broadband wireless products and a line of handset equipment to operators in emerging and established telecommunications markets worldwide. The auditor reported material weaknesses in the company’s internal controls to the audit committee.    Significant deficiencies related to revenue and deferred revenue accounts and the associated cost of sales were noted. These material weaknesses were evidenced by the identification of six separate transactions aggregating approximately $5 million in which revenue was initially included in the Company’s financial statements before all criteria for revenue recognition were met. In addition, there were other transactions for which there was insufficient initial documentation for revenue recognition purposes, but which did not result in any adjustments to the Company’s financial statements. If unremediated, these significant deficiencies have the potential of misstating revenue in future financial periods.   The Company’s planned remediation measures reported to the audit committee include the following:   a.      The Company plans to design a contract review process in China requiring financial and legal staff to provide input during the contract negotiation process to ensure timely identification and accurate accounting treatment of nonstandard contracts.

Step-by-step explanation:

we started discussing this yesterday. remember ?

so, from a total of $2500 in the bowl, this person has to take out or away $1250 for rent, $500 for food, $100 for transportation, $100 for clothing, and $250 for other "extra" things (probably different things in each month).

so, we can either calculate

2500 - (1250 + 500 + 100 + 100 + 250) = $300

or

2500 - 1250 - 500 - 100 - 100 - 250 = $300

as you can see, the result is the same.

and what are these $300 ?

this is what's left in the bowl every month. this remaining sum is his savings. that's how much he saves every month : $300.

that simply means he does not spend that money and keeps it for later in his savings account at the bank or in his piggy bank at home, or ...

so, now to answer the questions need in what we know :

1a. is already answered. $1250 is half of $2500, so it is 50% of the whole content of the bowl.

remember, 100% stands always for the whole. so, 50% is half of 100%.

1b. $500 for food.

we could do it similarly as 1a. but I want to show you, what is really going on when calculating %, or what is an easy way to think :

100% = $2500. we know that. that's the "whole".

if I want to know about parts, we have to go for division again.

1% = 100%/100 = 2500/100 = $25

you see what I just did ? out of the 100% whole we found how much 1% is.

and to find how many % an amount is, we need to find out how often this 1% fits into that amount.

remember ? division !

so,

$500 / 1% = $500/$25 = 20%

aha ! $500 is 20% of the total of $2500.

20% is also 100%/5 or 1/5 of 100%.

1c. $100 for transportation.

still, 1% is $25

so, how often does it fit here ?

$100/$25 = 4%

1d. $100 for clothing.

the same result as for 1c. of course.

4%.

1e. $250 extra expenses

still, 1% is $25

so, how often does it fit here ?

$250/$25 = 10%

2. we established already at the beginning that he saves $300 every month.

if we would be on advanced level already, we would see, hey, this is 3 times the e.g. $100 for clothing, so it must be 3×4% = 12%.

but let's just do it step by step :

still, 1% is $25

so, how often does it fit here ?

$300/$25 = 12%

hey, we were right !

Answer:

  • sin = -√3/2
  • cos = -1/2
  • tan = √3
  • sec = -2
  • csc = (-2/3)√3
  • cot = (√3)/3

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached picture for a drawing of the angle and its terminal point coordinates. Those are (cos(4π/3), sin(4π/3)), so we have the following trig function values:

  sin(4π/3) = -√3/2

  cos(4π/3) = -1/2

  tan(4π/3) = sin/cos = √3

  sec(4π/3) = 1/cos = -2

  csc(4π/3) = 1/sin = -(2√3)/3

  cot(4π/3) = 1/tan = (√3)/3

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

It helps to know that 1/√a = (√a)/a. This lets you write the ratios with a rational denominator in each case.

What is the range of the given function? {(–2, 0), (–4, –3), (2, –9), (0, 5), (–5, 7)}
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer: R = {0, -3, -9, 5, 7}

Explanation: The range is the set of all y-coordinates for our ordered pairs.

So the range for this relation is {0, -3, -9, 5, 7}.
