Rewrite the expression as an algebraic expression in x.<br> tan(sin−1(x))
solmaris [256]
Let tan^{-1} x=\alpha
Then it can be shown by using a right-angled triangle and the rule of Pythagoras that \alpha= tan^{-1} \frac{x}{ \sqrt{1-x^{2}} }
Therefore
tan(sin ^{-1} (x))=\frac{x}{ \sqrt{1-x^{2}} }

Is 9.373 a repeating? is it rational?
kow [346]

Decimal numbers are repeating if the part after the decimal separator never ends, but has a cicle. For example, 14.020202020202.... is a repeating decimal number, because after the decimal separator you can see a pattern: 02 repeated indefinitely.

In your case, the part after the decimal separator is finite: there is no repeating part. Every number with a finite decimal part is rational. In your case, the number 9.373 can be written as the fraction

\dfrac{9373}{1000}

which proves that the number is rational.
