Why did the Anti-Imperialist League argue against the U.S. occupation of the Philippines?
Blizzard [7]
Ahhh I remember this from 8th grade! Alright the Philippines was already trying to break free from another occupied force in the Philippines and so when they teamed up w America, the Americans say they will but never explained that when they do help they will take over, so when the American force helped the force that was trying to get rid of the occupied force, the Americans occupied it. The Anti imperialist argued that its their land and rightfully so but u see America was on a race with England to gain more land, but still America gain control of Philippines, while the anti imperialists fought, the American soldiers not only fought but raped women as well.

What horrific sight does Elie see as he and his father enter the first camp on their march to the barracks?
atroni [7]

Answer:

They saw truckloads of children, babies thrown into the fire, the crematorium, the burning pit.

Explanation:

Elie Wiesel's memoir "Night" recounts his experience as a Jewish prisoner during the Holocaust that became one of the greatest genocide in the history of the world. This book also became one of the most important witness accounts of the historical disaster.

When they were taken to the camp at Birkenau, the men and women and children were separated. Elie and his father were taken to the left while women were taken to the right. This separation would be the last time he would ever see his mother and sister. And later on, after the medical inspection by <em>"the notorious Dr. Mengele"</em>, while walking they saw a truck full of children, babies being driven and thrown into the <em>"crematorium"</em>, a burning pit. Elie recounts how he saw <em>"A truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children. Babies!"</em> This was the horrific sight that he and his father along with the others saw on their march to the barracks in the first camp.

Why is the President at the top of the Federal Bureaucracy? *
Feliz [49]

Hi there!

The answer is:

C) The Constitution makes the President the chief administrator of the Federal Government.

But the Presidency office not only includes the representative President but the rest of the executive branch of the U.S. government, and it is the only "office" that is elected nationally.

The President is at the top of the Federal Bureaucreacy due to the Constitution although this is not deeply mentioned. The Article II establishes the office and states that the executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America, but the President's decisions towards the country will only be valid with the advice and consent of the Senate.
