The answer is 9.73
explanation:
4+5 is 9 so leave that aside for now

since both 2/5 and 2/6 have a different denomination you have to find the common denomination. the common denomination is 30 because it’s the LCM for both 5 and 6.

Since you multiplied the 5 by 6 you now have to multiply your numerator by 6 which will give you 12/30 and do the same with the 2/6 but instead multiply it by 5 which is 10/30 and then add them together 22/30 after you can simplify them to 11/15 by dividing the numeration and denominator by 2

After that you can convert the fraction into a decimal which would be 0.7333 but since you can round it off and make a shorter answer you have 0.73

Lastly,Don’t forget to add your 9 that we had in the begging which is not 9.73 :)

Select the postulate or theorem that you can use to conclude that the triangles are similar.
insens350 [35]

Answer: SAS similarity postulate

Step-by-step explanation:

According to SAS postulate of similarity, two triangles are called similar if two sides in one triangle are in the same proportion to the corresponding sides in the other, and the included angle are congruent.

In triangles, QNR and MNP,

\frac{QN}{MN} = \frac{QM+MN}{MN} = \frac{10+8}{8} = \frac{18}{8} = \frac{9}{4}

\frac{NR}{NP} = \frac{NP+NR}{NP} = \frac{10+8}{8} = \frac{18}{8} = \frac{9}{4}

\implies \frac{QN}{MN} = \frac{NR}{NP}

Also,

\angle QNR\cong \angle MNP  (Reflexive)

Thus, By SAS similarity postulate,

\triangle QNR\sim\triangle MNP

⇒ Option first is correct.

ahrayia [7]

Answer:

This  is pretty straightforward. The answer is 84.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we know all the possibilities all we have to do it multiply all the courses to get the number of pasta dinners. So we multiply 3,2,2, and 7 and we would get 84 pasta dinners.

Hope this helped!!! :D

4. Find the value of x & y from the following equation 4x+5y=90, x+y=20 a. 10, 15 b. 10, 5 c. 10, 8 d. 10, 10
ira [324]

An equation is formed of two equal expressions. In the two of the given equations, the value of x and y are 10 and 10, respectively. The correct option is D.

<h3>What is an equation?</h3>

An equation is formed when two equal expressions are equated together with the help of an equal sign '='.

Given the two of the equation, which can be named as,

4x+5y=90   ...... equation 1

x+y=20   ............ equation 2

Solve the second equation for x,

x + y = 20

x = 20 - y ................ equation 3

In the first equation substitute the value of x from the third equation,

4x + 5y = 90

4(20 - y) + 5y = 90

Solving the equation for y,

80 - 4y + 5y = 90

y = 90 - 80

y = 10

Substitute the value of y in the second equation, to get the value of x,

x + y = 20

x + 10 = 20

x = 20 - 10

x = 10

Hence, In the two of the given equations, the value of x and y are 10 and 10, respectively.

My picture for 11 shows how you would set that up. S is the midpoint meaning it is directly in the center so both sides will be equal.
5x+17=8x-31
48=3x
16=x
now put that in for the x in RS
5(16)+17
80+17
RS=97

12)
same as 11 but you have a picture already. if a line bisects it then it is cut into 2 equal parts.
4-5x=2x+25
-21=7x
-3=x
put it in for both halves of AC
(4-5(-3))+(2(-3)+25)
4+15-6+25
AC=38

13)
You can find DE by subtracting CD by CE (49)
since we already have CE we just have to find CD which is equal to AC which has been set up in the same way as 11 and 12 except now we'll have to set up the equation differently.
2(3x+4)=11x-17
it's set up like this because we only have one half and the whole line.
2 times the half equals the lines length.
6x+8=11x-17
25=5x
5=x
put that in for the line AC
11(5)-17
55-17
38
and so CD equals 38
going back to the original solution:
DE=CE-CD
DE=49-38
DE=11
