Explain why vision is lost when it hits the blind spot.
BaLLatris [955]
I don't personally know this but I looked it up and these were some answers I got.

1. There are no photoreceptors present, therefore vision is lost when light hits this spot (the blind spot)

2. Vision is lost when light hits the blind spot because the blind spot lacks photoreceptors, so light focused on it cannot be seen.

3. The back of your eye contains all of the detectors which sense when light hits them, this is how you see. All of these signals are sent to the brain by the optic nerve, which connects to the back of the eye to receive the signals. Where it connects, however, there are no detectors so there is a small patch which each eye is unable to see and the brain has to fill in based on data from the other eye.

Hope it helped!

Which of the following statements is true:
Mrac [35]

The correct answer is option A, that is, DNA is photocopied to make RNA.

Transcription refers to the procedure by which DNA is transcribed or copied to make mRNA (messenger RNA) that conducts the information required for the formation of protein. Transcription occurs in two broad stages. First is the formation of pre-messenger RNA, with the application of RNA polymerase enzymes.

The pre-messenger RNA is then amended to generate the desired molecule of mRNA in a procedure known as RNA splicing.

When a ball rolls down the hill, what energy is conserved?
Stella [2.4K]
The correct option is B.
Potential energy is defined as the energy store in an object as a result of its position or state, while the kinetic energy is defined as the energy possess by an object in motion.
In the question given above, the ball possesses potential energy as a result of its high position on the hill. When the ball started rolling down the hill, its potential energy is converted to kinetic energy, which is energy in motion.
