Why does a diagram look more like a bush than a straight line

Answer: The reason why an evolutionary diagram looks more like a bush than a straight line is the development of new species.

To be more clear - initially we can have one species, and that species will over time start to live in multiple different environments. As the species starts to adapt to the new environment, its appearance and genetics are gradually changing in order for it to have more advantageous traits to survive in the environment. As the time passes, the changes that will emerge in some members will create a new species, and that process will constantly go on, until extinction that is. So we have one species that is an ancestor of multiple new species, thus the family tree, or rather evolutionary diagram, starts to branch out, and as the time passes, it will branch out more and more and take a bush-like looks.

Does the water cycle, the nitrogen cycle, and the carbon-oxygen cycle play a role in ecosystem balance? Explain.
Anika [276]

Explanation: The water cycle is also known as the hydrological cycle. It describes how water moves on, above, or just below the surface of our planet. Water molecules move between various locations - such as rivers, oceans and the atmosphere - by specific processes. Water can change state. Nitrogen compounds found in cells include proteins. Nitrogen from the air is converted into soluble ions that plant roots can absorb. It forms part of nitrogen compounds in the plants, and is then passed from one organism to the next. It is returned to the atmosphere as nitrogen gas. This is the nitrogen cycle. The carbon-oxygen cycle is the process by which plants use carbon dioxide for respiration during photosynthesis and produce oxygen. During this process, carbon dioxide becomes part of the plant, and when the plant dies in a carbon-rich state it is possible for it to become a fossil fuel.

If your blood sugar level is low from skipping lunch what reaction will occur in your liver cells
Vadim26 [7]
The answer is Glycogenolysis

When we are hungry or skipped a meal our glucagon, an hormones that regulates blood-sugar levels, is released to avoid glucose levels in the blood to decrease to a risky value.

Glucagon makes the liver, but also the muscle, to breakdown accumulated glucose called glycogen into glucose to increase blood-sugar levels. This process is called Glycogenolysis and can also be stimulated by an increase in epinephrine during fight-or-flight responses.
