sleep isn’t something that was invented so therefore can’t be uninvinted, sleep is something the human body does to keep you healthy and give you energy, it gives your body a break, there’s energy drinks that could keep you awake or anything with caffeine, but not sleeping for so long can cause visual/auditory hallucinations, make you very sick, and could even cause death, therefore what did we learn today? Sleep is important:)

Dimas [21]

I agree with the statement because in the story, when Major Kovalyov loses his nose, the nose achieves a higher rank that him - State Councillor. Considering Kovalyov is an ambitious official, he feels ashamed due to the fact that the nose has climbed higher in rank, and for his physical appearance. Without a nose, he cannot move up in hierarchy or join in marriage favorably.

What does Botstein mean not by ' the rules of high school turn out not to be the rules of life'
Leviafan [203]
When Bostein clearly stated that ' the rules of high school turn out not to be the rules of life ' he apparently meant that the social-scale in a stereotypical high school is considered fake and has no purpose whatsoever in the outside world. Meaning that appearance and athletic status will not apply or be necessary to any sort of work in the 'real world'.

How do batteries work
Oxana [17]
Not sure how it's an English question, but Batteries have three parts, an anode (-), a cathode (+), and the electrolyte. The cathode and anode (the positive and negative sides at either end of a traditional battery) are hooked up to an electrical circuit. The chemical reactions in the battery causes a build up of electrons at the anode.
