<span>Restorative programs, in contrast to the traditional punitive model, work to achieve the best outcome for both victim and offender. In working through mediation with the victim, the offender has an opportunity to make amends to their previous actions and prevent future offenses of that nature. As well, the victim has an opportunity to achieve a level of justice that aids in the victims recovery. The crime is viewed as an offense against the victim and the offender should make appropriate amends to the victim.</span>
Having the ability on decision-making as based on immediate physical experiences is one of the mental<span> characteristics that develops over the course of adolescence. In addition, at the time we became adults, we would now be conscious in our actions and are responsible for every decision we do.</span>
<span>The Superego.
The Superego controls our perception of what is right and what is wrong.
It aims to perfection, punishing with the feeling of guilt every misbehavior.
Its purpose is to make us act in a way that is socially acceptable (as opposing
to the ID, which purpose is seeking
immediate self-gratification). </span>
