His message of peaceful means was added to the movement's numbers and gave it it's moral strength. The legacy of Martin Luther King is described in two simple words equality and nonviolence. Martin Luther King also started an organization of the bus boycott, also in April 1963, he had also organized a protest in Birmingham, Alabama.
