I would think the answer is no because the x is going up times 2 (2x2=4) and the y is going up plus 1 (1+1=2)

if a translation has a coordinate notation of (x,y) --> (x+1,y-3) then what is the image of (4,-4)
icang [17]

Answer:

(5, - 7 )

Step-by-step explanation:

A translation rule of

(x, y ) → (x + 1, y - 3 )

means add 1 to the original x- coordinate and subtract 3 from the original y- coordinate, that is

(4, - 4 ) → (4 + 1, - 4 - 3 ) → (5, - 7 )

Answer:

  D

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve x = f(y) for y.

  x = ∛(y/9) -4

  x +4 = ∛(y/9) . . . . . add 4

  (x +4)³ = y/9 .. . . . . cube

  9(x +4)³ = y . . . . . . multiply by 9

The inverse function is ...

  f⁻¹(x) = 9(x +4)³ . . . . . matches the last choice
