For the overall reaction below, which of the following is the correctly written rate law? Overall reaction: O3(g)+2NO2(g)→N2O5(g
zavuch27 [327]

Answer: Rate=k[O_3][NO_2]^2

Explanation:

Rate law says that rate of a reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of the reactants each raised to a stoichiometric coefficient determined experimentally called as order.

O_3(g)+NO_2(g)\rightarrow NO_3(g)+O_2(g) slow

NO_3(g)+NO_2(g)\rightarrow N_2O_5(g) fast

To determine the net chemical equation, we will simply add the above two equations, we get:

O_3(g)+2NO_2(g)\rightarrow N_2O_5(g)+O_2(g)

Rate=k[O_3][NO_2]^2

Order with respect to O_3 is 1 and Order with respect to NO_2 is 2.

Thus the rate law will be: Rate=k[O_3][NO_2]^2

Consider two solutions made using water as the solvent: 1.0 m CaCl2 and 3.0 m sucrose. Describe how the osmotic pressures of the
mash [69]
Osmotic pressure is calculated by the product of the concentration in molarity, the temperature, the vant Hoff factor (3 for CaCl2 and 1 for sucrose) and R, universal gas constant. At the same temperature, the osmotic pressures of both solutions are equal.

π = CRTi
For CaCl2,
π = (1)RT(3) = 3RT

For sucrose,
π = (3)RT(1) = 3RT

Difference between dipole dipole and hydrogen bonding
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Hydrogen bonds are stronger than the dipole dipole attraction force present in any molecule.

What is bonding in molecules?

Bonding is a type of attraction force which is present between the different atoms or elements of any substance.

 • Dipole dipole attraction force is a weak force as compared to the hydrogen bonding and present between any two oppositely charged atoms.
 • Hydrogen bond is present between the hydrogen atom and more electronegative atoms like O, S, N and F.

Hence main difference is that hydrogen bond is only present between the hydrogen atom and more electronegative.

Do you think there should be greater restrictions on who can buy explosives or accelerants? Why or why not?
fgiga [73]
In my opinion yes, as of now, almost anyone could get there hands on lets say an explosive. Have you heard of dynamite fishing? It is illegal, but it is still done once people have access to dynamite, then what ends up happening not only do marine wildlife get killed but it pollutes the water and lessens the chance of the natural cycle of life. Also there are several other factors, firstly, what will you do with an explosive once you get your hands on it? Perhaps you could just use an explosive for fun/personal entertainment...that isn't right and it could harm people. So, to conclude the harder it is for people to access explosives or even acclerants the better...and to add this can be possible by making people get like some sort of licence to use them, and let them be trained in certain conditions so that there is no regrets once they have access to them. I know my idea sounds far fetched but its a thought!
