Answer: A

Explanation: I believe the answer is A, because of this definition I found :

Anything explicit is completely clear and includes details. If you don't want your little brother to become a snake snack, you'll need to give him explicit instructions for feeding your pet boa constrictor safely. This adjective describes anything that is clear, detailed, and easy to understand.

The answer choice which is an example of an explicit detail from the list of available choices is:

 • D. Martin's watch is in Eastern Time.

Based on the given excerpt, we can see that there is the narration about Martin and how he fell asleep in the airport while waiting for his flight.

The narrator made use of a lot of implicit details such as mentioning that he was sleeping by saying he was "startled awake".

However, explicit details was used when it was clearly stated that Martin's watch was still on Eastern Time which was part of the reason why he missed his flight.

Therefore, the correct answer is OPTION D

grigory [225]
A—
This sentence pretty much sums up what the writer of the passage wants to talk about. The other ones do not fit with the sentence “water is one factor that is necessary for growth” and do not fit the idea of the passage, which is what factors affect plant growth.

"like a sunbeam" - it is used to give deeper meaning and description to what her face looks like in person so the reader can feel as if they are standing in front of her seeing that face.
