Answer:

We need to sketch the problem first.

Find the size of angle R.

One member travels a distance of 12km due north. Another team member heads 50degree east of north and travels a distance of 10km.

If se substute 50° of 180 we have

180-50=130°

The distance between the two team members is the missing side.

We know two sides and included angle, so we use the cosine rule.

A2+b2+c2-2bcCosA

= 102+122-(2x10x12xcos130°)

=100+144-(-147.08)

=100+144+147.08

=391.08

A==SQRT391.08

=19.775

19.7km

Help, please in this problem
Nikolay [14]

Answer:

x=9.768

y=6.972

Step-by-step explanation:

For this problem we have to use the trig relationships of cos and sin to figure out the lengths. Cos is equal to adjacent/hypotenuse so we can set it as x/r=.814 and since r is equal to 12 we can do 12 times .814 to get x.

We do a similar process for sin but sin is equal to opposite/hypotenuse so we can set up the equation y/r=.581 and we simply multiply both sides by 12 to get 12*.581 to get y.

Also for future reference adjacent and hypotenuse are based on the angle at use, since ∅ is on the bottom left x is the adjacent side and y is the opposite side.

Use the x-intercept method to find all real solutions of the equation.<br> x^3-6x^2+3x+10=0
dedylja [7]

Answer:

x=-1 or 5 or 2

Step-by-step explanation:

x³-6x²+3x+10=0

(x+1)(x-5)(x-2)=0

x+1=0 ⇒ x=-1

x-5=0 ⇒x=5

x-2=0 ⇒ x=2

he knows that the length is 10 feet more than the width, and the total area is 144 feet. Find the dimensions of in feet of Javon
finlep [7]

Answer:

A) length = width +10

B) length * width = 144 OR

B) width = 144 /length  putting B) into A)

A) length = 144 / length + 10 then solving for length

A) length^2 = 144 +10 length

A) length^2 -10 length - 144 = 0  then we factor

(length -18) * (length +8) = 0

length = 18 feet

width = 8 feet
