So as two objects are separated from each other, the force of gravitational attraction between them also decreases. ... If the separation distance between any two objects is tripled (increased by a factor of 3), then the force of gravitational attraction is decreased by a factor of 9 (3 raised to the second power).

So the answer you are looking for is B.

The answer will be B.

Gravity obeys something called the inverse square law.

This means if distance increases by a factor of x, the force of gravity will decrease by a factor of x^2

For example, if distance increases by 2, the force would be 4 times weaker

If Distance increases by a factor of 3, the force will be 9 times weaker

A negative test charge will accelerate toward regions of ________ electric potential and ________ electric potential energy.
dalvyx [7]

Answer: higher and lower

Explanation:

 charge in an electric field will experience a force in the direction of decreasing potential energy. Since the electric potential energy of a negative charge is equal to the charge times the electric potential the direction of decreasing electric potential energy is the direction of increasing electric potential.

What is called gravitational potential energy?
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

Potential gravitational energy is the energy that the body has due to the Earth's gravitational attraction. In this way, the potential gravitational energy depends on the position of the body in relation to a reference level.

g If a car takes a banked curve at less than the ideal speed, friction is needed to keep it from sliding toward the inside of th
Reil [10]

Answer:

Speed; v = 17 m/s

Explanation:

We are given;

Radius; r = 110m

Angle; θ = 15°

Now, we know that in circular motion,

v² = rg•tanθ

Thus,

v = √(rg•tanθ)

Where,

v is velocity

r is radius

g is acceleration due to gravity

θ is the angle

Thus,

v = √(rg•tanθ) = √(110 x 9.8•tan15)

v = √(288.85)

v = 17 m/s

A body travels 30m in 5s, 45m in 7s and then 65m in the last 5s. Find the average speed of the body
JulijaS [17]
We can find the average speed of the body by finding the total distance covered, and then dividing it by the total time of the motion.

The total distance covered is:
S=30 m + 45m+65m=140 m

while the total time of the motion is
t=5 s+7s+5 s=17 s

So, the average speed of the body is:
v= \frac{S}{t}= \frac{140 m}{17 s}=8.24 m/s
