1 cm = (10 × 10^10)pm
Therefore;
the unit length of the cell is equivalent to 3.923 × 10^-8 cm
The volume of the cubic cell is given by (length)³
= (3.923×10^-8)³
= 6.0375 × 10^-23 cm³
Density is calculated by dividing mass with the volume
The atomic mass of platinum 195.064 g/mol ,
Therefore,
The average mass of one atom is; (Avogadro's constant = 6.0×10^23 particles)
        195.064 ÷ 6.022 × 10^23 atoms/mol
           = 3.239 × 10^-22 g/atom
The mass of the 4 platinum atoms in the face centered cubic unit cell:
  (3.239 × 10^-22) × 4 = 129.56× 10^-23 g/unit cell
Therefore;
Density = (129.56× 10^-23)÷(6.0375 ×10^-23)
                                   = 21.459 g/cm³

  • Carbon is reused through the carbon cycle.
  • There is carbon in oil, which is made of ancient animals, and this carbon is discharged into the air during ignition.
  • Carbon is then taken in by plants as CO2, which we then eat.

Explanation:

  • Carbon is reused through the carbon cycle. There is carbon in oil, which is made of ancient animals, and this carbon is discharged into the air during ignition. Carbon is then taken in by plants as CO2, which we then eat.
  • Matter carries on as indicated by the guideline of conservation of matter: Under conventional conditions, any matter is neither made nor destroyed but instead is reused again and again. It tends to be changed or recombined, however, it doesn't vanish; everything heads off to someplace.
  • Carbon particles of my body presumably used to be a piece of the body of a prehistoric creature, as chemical components have been utilized and reused by living animals.

Consider the following unbalanced equation. N2+ O2=N2O. When the equation is completely balanced using smallest whole numbers, t
77julia77 [94]

Answer:

2

Explanation:

Since you are balancing the equation you need to have equal amounts of each element on each side. Right now there is 2n and 2o on one side, and on the other 2n and 1o. Although the number of n's on each side is equal the number of o's are not. First I balance the number of oxygen's on each below, but doing that made the number of nitrogen's unbalanced. So then I balanced the nitrogens in step 2.

__N2+ __O2 = __N2O

1. __N2+ __O2 =  2 N20

2. 2 N2 + 1 O2 = 2 N2O

Ad libitum [116K]
Both elements and compounds are pure substances. While elements are not made of simpler substances, compounds are made up of two or more chemical elements that are chemically combined.
