C = 2πr

C = 2π2

C =  4π

Since you have a quarter of the circle (indicated by the 90 degree angle) you can divide the circumference of the circle by four and your answer.

4π/4 = π

You would have to a four to that answer because of the lines connecting the circle segment.

<em>Answer = π + 4</em>

Hope this helps! ;)

PLS HELP ASAP What is the value of x?
Furkat [3]

<u>ANSWER</u>

a. 12 units

<u>EXPLANATION</u>

According to the altitude theorem, RT which is the altitude, is equal to the geometric mean of TQ and TS, the segments created by the foot of the altitude on the hypotenuse.

This implies that:

x =  \sqrt{TQ \times TS}

From the diagram, TQ=16 and TS=9.

We substitute these values and solve for x.

x =  \sqrt{9 \times 16}

x =  \sqrt{144}

x = 12

Therefore x is 12 units.

The correct answer is A

42 runners total

\frac{1}{3} of 42 (14) dropped out in first half.

42 - 14 = 28 remaining.

\frac{4}{7} of 28 (16) dropped out in second half.

28 - 16 = 12 runners finished the race.
