I assume that the "d2" was a typo as a problem such as this with 2 variables would require a <em>system of equations</em>.

I also assume that the ? is a typo and will replace it with 0, however you can repeat my steps with whatever it actually it.

I assume that the correct form is 2 + 3a + 6 + a = 0

2 + 3a + 6 + a = 0

Combine like terms

8 + 3a + a = 0

8 + 4a = 0

move 8 to other side

4a = -8

a= -8/4

a = -2*

plug this value of a into the original equation

2 + 3(-2) + 6 + (-2) = 0

The statement is true!

<em>* This probably isn't your answer!  Repeat my steps with whatever the value of "?" is.</em>

In a running competition, a bronze, silver and gold medal must be given to the top three girls and top three boys. If 15 boys an
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

There are a total of possible 1820 results.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since there are two competitions, one for boys and one for girls, and we want all the possible results we will calculate the possible combinations for the boys and multiply them by the possible combinations for the girls. This is shown below:

Boys = \frac{15!}{3!(15 - 3)!} = \frac{15!}{3!12!} = \frac{15*14*13*12!}{3!12!}\\Boys = \frac{15*14*13}{3*2*1}\\Boys = \frac{15*14*13}{3*2*1}\\Boys = 455

Girls = \frac{4!}{3!*(4 - 3)!}\\Girls = \frac{4*3!}{3!}\\Girls = 4

Total number of possible results:

results = 4*455\\results = 1820

Carlos says that 17.43 divided By 100 Is the same thing as doing 174.3 X 0.01 Is he correct?
Setler [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

no. this is not true as if you simply plug it in it would not come out as the same answer. multiplying something by 0.01 and dividing it by 100 is the game but 174.3 is 10 times larger than 17.48

A triangle has ∠1 and ∠2 as remote interior angles with respect to exterior angle ∠3. Given that m∠1 = 50 and m∠2 = 70, Alicia r
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

No, 60 is the third interior angle's mesure, not the exterior ∠3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Say that ∠1=∠A=50 and ∠2=∠B=70. The remote interior angles are the angles that are not touvhing the exterior angle. So ∠3 would be the the exterior angle to ∠C. ∠C=60 as the sum of the interior angles is 180.

The exterior angle is the angle formed by extending one of the triangle's sides. A straight line has the angle 180,  so∠3=180-∠C=180-60=120.
