Yesterday Clara reached 4 people in 10 phone calls while Toby reach three people in 8 phone calls if they continue at this rate
SashulF [63]

Answer:

Clara will reach more people in 40 phone calls.

Step-by-step explanation:

If Both of them had 40 phone calls you would divide 40 phone calls to how much they actually had. In this case for Clara it's 40 divided by 10 which is 4, And then you have to multiply 4x4 which is 16. For Toby He had to divide 40 by 8 which is 5, and then multiply 3x5 which is 15. Therefore Clara had reached more phone calls then Toby.

Pam says she will charge 125 plus 15 an hour to paint a house. Michelle will charge $50 plus $20 per hour to paint a house. Afte
aniked [119]
Let us assume the number of hours after which the cost of Pam and Michelle will be same = x
Now let us concentrate on the information's already given in the problem.
Fixed charge taken by Pam = $125
Charge per hour taken by Pam = $15
Fixed charge taken by Michelle = $50
Charge per hour taken by Michelle = $20
Then
125 + 15x = 50 + 20x
20x - 15x = 125 - 50
5x = 75
x = 75/5
 = 15
So after 15 hours the charge taken by Pam and Michelle will be the same. I hope the procedure for doing this type of problem is clear to you.

Use a 95% prediction interval to predict the useful life of a brand A cutting tool when the cutting speed is 45 meters per minu
qwelly [4]

Answer:

The answer resides in the explanation.

Pls rate as brainliest

Step-by-step explanation:

The predicted useful life of a brand A cutting tool when the speed is 45 meters per minute is 1.2 to 5.5 hours.

The predicted useful life of a brand B cutting tool when the speed is 45 meters per minute is 3.4 to 5.4 hours.

The prediction interval for brand A is larger than the prediction interval for brand B because the estimated standard error of y^ is different for the two intervals.

The prediction intervals are both larger than the corresponding confidence intervals.

The standard error for the estimated mean value of y is smaller than the standard error for the predicted value of y.

The predicted useful life of a brand A cutting tool that is operated at 100 meters per minute is -0.59 hours

The actual predicted useful life of a brand A cutting tool when the speed is 100 meters per minute is 0.0 to 2.3 hours.
