As a child, Aaron got lost in the woods behind his school. However, he does not recall the event until several decades later. Wi
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

Aaron's block from this traumatic childhood event is an example of dissociative amnesia.

Explanation:

Dissociative amnesia is the type of amnesia that causes the blocking of memories of traumatic and stressful events. it is usually associated with childhood memories, where the child suffered such a stressful time in his life that his brain created a blockage so that the information of that moment could not be recovered.

An example of this can be seen in the question above, where Aaron cannot remember the terrifying day he was lost in the forest.

Ethical egoism is the view that moral judgments are relative to what each society believes
ddd [48]
If the sentence above is trying to ask whether it is true or false, the answer is false. It is ethical egoism does not view the moral judgment in terms of the beliefs of the society, but rather, it only does a judgment or an obligation because of their own self and not because of the society. That's why the answer is false.

WORK
CITY PLANNING

In the 19th century, the population continued to grow unabated, doubling between 1801 and the 1820's and then doubling again between then and 1851, to 400,000 souls. This was phenomenal growth transforming Manchester into Britain’s second city. Manchester continued to grow steadily down to the end of the century.

WORK- Young men and women poured in from the countryside, eager to find work in the new factories and mills. The mills paid relatively high wages and they also employed large numbers of children. As a consequence, families migrating to the city often saw a considerable rise in their incomes. But not all aspects of life in the factories were pleasant. The rise in child labour was of course undesirable from the perspective of child welfare.
CITY PLANNING- Better wages were undoubtedly the greatest attraction of city life, but the higher incomes came at a price. City planning was in its infancy and much of the new workers’ housing was erected with little regard to quality.

knowing about the effects of the perceived distance of objects on their perceived size helps us to understand the moon illusion.
tester [92]

Knowing about the effects of the perceived distance of objects on their perceived size can help us understand the moon illusion.

What is the moon illusion?

The moon illusion refers to an optical illusion in which the Moon looks bigger when it's rising or setting and smaller when it is high in the sky. Photographs have proven that the Moon is the same width near the horizon as when it's high in the sky. However, that isn't what we perceive with our eyes. Therefore, it's an illusion that is rooted in the way our brains process visual information.

Many different explanations were offered for this immensely powerful real-world illusion over the centuries. Today, the explanation for this illusion is still debated.
