I think you should say you multipliyed?
First distribute the 2/3.
(2/3)n + (2/3)*6 = 10
(2/3)n + 4 = 10
Subtract 4 from both sides
(2/3)n = 6
Multiply both sides by (3/2) to clear the fraction
n = 9
Since y represents miles and x represents weeks, it would be y=300x
There are 4 quarterly inches in 1 inch so 4 x7=28 + 3 quarter in 3/4 so 31 quarter inches in all.
