Answer: Choice A

Language that means something other than literal.

==============================================================

Explanation:

Figurative language includes things like similes, metaphors, personification, etc. This type of language isn't literal. An example of figurative language would be this:

<em>It was very cold this morning and my car refused to start.</em>

The car isn't a person so there's no way the car can decide to refuse to start. This is an example of personification where we give human traits to inanimate objects. Such a task isn't describing a literal objective actual fact, but rather just a subjective perspective.

Answer:

In the final chapter of the book, God used what Betsie and Corrie learned. Corrie considered this as a 'God's new work' for her.

Explanation:

"The Hiding Place" is a biography of Corrie ten Boom penned by John and Elizabeth Sherill with the help of Corrie.

<u>The last chapter of the book is evident. In the last chapter of book, we can see Betsie's visions coming true. Three of her visions came to be true in the last chapter, first, that Corrie and Betsie were both free from the imprisonment on New Year's Eve (Betsie was free physically by being in heaven with God), Of sharing the lessons Betsie and Corrie learned, and of establishing a home for the hurting</u>.

In the final chapter, God used the lessons learned by Betsie and Corrie years earlier in Corrie's life when they were at Ravensbruck. These lessons were used by God to share the Good News to the hurting people by Corrie.

The correct answer is the second one “the history of the Kiowa.” In this excerpt, the author explains how the traditions and the imaginary of the tribe are fused in narratives, which are part of the mind of its members. Therefore, these experiences and knowledge reflect "the journey" that the tribe has experienced over the years.

From part 2 of the novel , pick one paragraph in which the author uses semicolons and in 150 -200 words , tell how they are used
Rus_ich [418]

Hello,

With him, life was routine; without him, life was unbearable. - Chapter 12.

In this case, the author used semicolons because, altought there is not any conjunctive adverb or coordinating conjunction, there is a preposition, which in this case is "without", that is linking two closely connected main clauses. There are 2 clauses, independent syntactically, but very close semantically. The author is giving us two different perspectives; however, they both has a deep relationship: having or not having someone.  Finally, it is worth clarifying that, prepositions are used to establish a relationship between 2 clauses, like in this situation, for example.
