It’s 40% because if you divide it will be 2/5 and if you multiply 2 by 20, which is what each 1/5 would be worth, it would be 40

Answer:

40%

Step-by-step explanation:

Her monthly paycheck was 120 dollars, because thats how much she earned that month. If she saved 48 dollars, then the percentage of the paycheck she saved is the percent of 120 that is 48 dollars, or 48/120. Simplifying, we have 2/5, (because you can divide both the top and the bottom by 24), and 2/5 is equal to 40%

A puppy weighs 9 newtons on Earth and about 2 newtons on the planet Namar. A girl weighs 400 newtons on Earth. About how many ne
serious [3.7K]

Hi there!

In order to answer your question, you'll need to use the cross product method (let's say that Newtons = N):

9N on Earth = 2N on Namar

400N on Earth = xN on Namar

(2 × 400) ÷ 9 = xN on Namar

800 ÷ 9 = xN on Namar

88.888.. = xN on Namar

Since your answer must be to the nearest Newton, I'm guessing that you need to round your answer to the nearest whole number. This means that since the number in the tenths column is more than 5 (could also be equal to 5), you need to round the number up.

88.888... rounded to the nearest whole number = 89

Your answer is: The girl weigh 89 newtons on Namar.

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

A wheelchair ramp rises 1.5 feet for every 18 feet of horizontal distance it covers. Find the rate of change of the ramp
Ierofanga [76]
By definition the rate of change of a function is given by:
 AVR =  \frac{Change In Y}{Change In X}
 Or equivalently:
 AVR = \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}
 Substituting the values given in the problem we have:
 AVR = \frac{1.5}{18}
 Rewriting we have:
 AVR = 0.08
 Answer:

the rate of change of the ramp is:

AVR = 0.08
