Hello there today we will solve your problem, we will need to factorize btw...

{\huge{\boxed{\mathfrak{Equation}}}

{\big{\boxed{\frac{x^2-5x+4}{x^2-4x}}}}

First we will factor x^2-5x+4, which gives us \left(x-1\right)\left(x-4\right)

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\frac{\left(x-1\right)\left(x-4\right)}{x^2-4x}\\

factorize x^2-4x giving us x\left(x-4\right)

\frac{\left(x-1\right)\left(x-4\right)}{x\left(x-4\right)}

cancel the common factor x-4

and we get \frac{x-1}{x}

Isaiah scores with 50% of his penalty kicks in soccer. He flips two fair coins to conduct a simulation with 20 trials to determi
Darya [45]

Answer: 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

A coin has Head and tail

Thd likelihood that he will make his next two penalty kicks is synonymous to having head and head

Which is 1/2 × 1/2 = 1/4

Converting this to percentages gives 1/4 × 100 = 25%

Complete question

To find \sqrt{5} , Beau found 2^2 = 4 and 3^2 = 9 . He said that since 5 is between 4 and 9, \sqrt{5}, is between 2 and 3. Beau thinks a good estimate for \sqrt{5} , is \frac{2 + 3}{2} =  2.5 Is his estimate high or low? How do you know?

Answer:

The estimation is high because 5 is very close to 4 so \sqrt{5} will also be very close to \sqrt{4} which is lower than the estimate

In order to get a good estimate

The first step is to choose a number between 2 and 3 let say 2.8 , 2,85 , 2.9 and the square them

i.e

2.1^2 =  4.41

     2.2^2 =  4.84

      2.3^2 =  5.29

From here we can see that \sqrt{5}  lies between 2.2 and 2.3 but is closer to  2.2

So a good estimate for \sqrt{5} is 2.2

The audio-visual technician for a hotel ordered 4 boxes of microphone cords. There are 12 cords in each box.
Harman [31]
Your equation to solve is 108-(12×4).
This is 108-48 which is 60.
There were 60 cords at the hotel before the order. Since you need to find the boxes you do 60/12 which is 5.
There were 5 boxes.
