Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for area of a triangle is A = (1/2)bh,

For the first triangle we can leave it in general terms, so it's area is

A = (1/2)bh, depending on what b and h are, but it doesn't matter here...

The second triangle has base that is twice the other triangles base.  Bases being multiples of each other is the definition of being proportional so the bases are proportional, an the area of the second triangle is

A = (1/2)(2b)h,   which simplifies to

  A = bh

Comparing the 2 areas, you can see that one has a multiplier of (1/2), so their areas are proportional

Please help! 15 points to whoever graphs and solves it!
monitta

First you have to get the equation into slope/intercept format: y = mx + b

3y > -3+6x\\\\\frac{3y}{3} >\frac{-3+6x}{3} \\y >\frac{3(-1+2x)}{3} \\y > -1+2x\\\\y>2x-1

So the slope m = 2, and the y-intercept b = -1.

b tells you where the line intersects the y axis. The slope is rise (vertical distance) over run (horizontal distance). I have attached my best attempt at drawing this without graph paper.  The dotted line represents the inequality, and the solution set includes the values above the line which is why it is shaded. Hope this helps!

Janie receives an allowance of $3 per week. In addition, she can earn $2 for each chore she does. This week, she wants to earn e
Lilit [14]
Let us say that the number of weeks is "x" and the number of chores is "y".

If we state an algebraic expression for Janie's allowance it would be

3x+2y=13

However, there are two variables, hence many answers. To solve this problem, there must be more information about the relation between x and y.
