Answer: C) Heat

What I know so far is that heat makes it harder for the electrons to reach the source, thus making it hard to collide with the nucleus, but I’m not sure so you can see if it’s correct.

How many grams of h2 are needed to produce 14.51 g of nh3?
gavmur [86]

Answer:

               2.57 g of H₂

Solution:

The Balance Chemical Equation is as follow,

                                          N₂  +  3 H₂    →    2 NH₃

According to Balance equation,

         34.06 g (2 moles) NH₃ is produced by  =  6.04 g (3 moles) of H₂

So,

14.51 g of NH₃ will be produced by  =  X g of H₂

Solving for X,

                      X  =  (14.51 g × 6.04 g) ÷ 34.06 g

                     X =  2.57 g of H₂

Attem A liquid solvent is added to a flask containing an insoluble solid. The total volume of the solid and liquid together is 9
monitta

<u>Answer:</u> The mass of solid is 105.4 g

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the density of a substance, we use the equation"

\text{Density of a substance}=\frac{\text{Mass of a substance}}{\text{Volume of a substance}}       .......(1)

<u>For liquid:</u>

Mass of liquid = 26.6 g

Density of liquid = 0.865 g/mL

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.865g/mL=\frac{26.6g}{\text{Volume of liquid}}\\\\\text{Volume of liquid}=\frac{26.6g}{0.865g/mL}=30.8mL

We are given:

Volume of solid + Volume of liquid = 91.0 mL

Volume of liquid = 30.8 mL

So, volume of solid = 91.0 - 30.8 = 60.2 mL

Now, calculating the mass of solid by using equation 1, we get:

Volume of solid = 60.2 mL

Density of solid = 1.75 g/mL

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

1.75g/mL=\frac{\text{Mass of solid}}{60.2mL}\\\\\text{Mass of solid}=(1.75g/mL\times 60.2mL)=105.4g

Hence, the mass of solid is 105.4 grams

Which equation represents a neutralization reaction?
Law Incorporation [45]

3. Ca(OH)₂ + H₂SO₄ → CaSO₄ + 2 H₂O represents a neutralization reaction.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Neutralization reaction is a reaction in which an acid reacts with a base to form a slat and water.

First reaction is the decomposition reaction in which the reactant is decomposed to form 2 or more products.

Second one is the combustion reaction in which methane is burnt in presence of oxygen.

Third one is the Neutralization reaction, in which calcium hydroxide (base) reacts with sulfuric acid (acid) to form a (salt) calcium sulfate and water.

Fourth reaction is nothing but the double displacement reaction in which the ions exchanged their positions there by forming two new products.

Are there any good mnemonic devices for remembering functional groups?
Nikolay [14]
<span>Mnemonics for Functional Groups These are possible mnemonics for the common functional groups.
Vowels: The vowels "A", "E", and "Y" for Alkane, Alkene, and Alkyne.
Remember there is no "I." "O" and "U" would result in awkward pronunciations. Alcohol: Look for the "C-O-H" in "Alcohol." Ether: Ethers were anesthetics used in the 1800s.
Dr. Kellogg also lived at the same time. Corn Flakes are made by Kellogg's. A rooster or wingspan (C-O-C) is the cornflake mascot.
Amine: Remember the "N" stands for nitrogen. Aldehyde: This sounds like "Adelaide," the Australian city.
Australia is at the end of the Asian islands, and aldehydes are at the end of the hydrocarbon chain. The "Y" indicates a C=O double bond.
Ketone: Imagine the diagonal strokes of "K" forming the C=O double bond.
Carboxylic Acid: "Box" stands for boxed wine or C-O-H, alcohol. The "Y" indicates a C=O double bond.
Ester: This sounds like "Estelle" George Costanza's mother in the TV show Seinfeld. George's nickname was Koko or Coco. So think of O=C-O-C.
Amide: Amine with a "D". D for double.</span>
