Transformation involves changing the size and position of a rectangle.

The transformation of rectangle ABCD to other rectangle ABCD is dilation.

From the question, we understand that the size of both figures are not equal, but they are proportional.

Since the sizes are proportional but not equal, then it means the transformation is a dilation.

Hence, the correct option is (a) dilation

A ratio of two numbers is equal to 3:8. If the smaller number is 12,find the greater number.
iragen [17]

<em>The other no. is:</em>

<u><em>32</em></u>

<em>As you can see that in the ratio given, </em><em>3</em><em> is the smaller no. and </em><em>12</em><em> too.</em>

<em>So when we divide </em><em>12 </em><em>by </em><em>3</em><em>, we get </em><u><em>4 </em></u>

<em>Then to find the other no. we need to multiply </em><em>4</em><em> with </em><em>8</em><em> (which is the other no.          in the ratio given)</em>

<em>Therefore, we get the other no. as </em><u><em>32</em></u>

<em>And also when you divide </em><em>12</em><em> by </em><em>32</em><em>, </em>

<em>You get the answer as </em><u><em>3</em></u><u><em> by </em></u><u><em>8</em></u><em> </em><em>(which is the given ratio) </em>

The table shows the profit from a school book fair based on the number of books sold. What is the rate of change for the functio
dsp73

You are given a table

\begin{array}{cc}\text{Number of books sold} & \text{Profit}\\100 & \$50\\250 & \$275\\300 & \$350\\350 & \$450\end{array}

The rate of change for the function represented in the table can be calculated using the formula

\dfrac{y_{i+1}-y_i}{x_{i+1}-x_i},

where i=1,2,3.

1. When i=1,

\dfrac{y_2-y_2}{x_2-x_1}=\dfrac{275-50}{250-100}=\dfrac{225}{150}=1.5

2. When i=2,

\dfrac{y_3-y_2}{x_3-x_2}=\dfrac{350-275}{300-250}=\dfrac{75}{50}=1.5

3. When i=3,

\dfrac{y_4-y_3}{x_4-x_3}=\dfrac{425-350}{350-300}=\dfrac{75}{50}=1.5

Then the rate of change is $1.5

<h3>Square root of prime numbers</h3>

The square root of a number can both be negative or positive. According to the question, we are to determine the square root of 47

The square root of 47 must be between the square root of 36 and square root of 64

√36 = 6

√64 = 8

This shows that the answer must be between 6 and 8. Hence the closest value will be 6.9 since the value is close to 49

PLEASE HELP HAVING SO MUCH TROUBLE!!
Artemon [7]
To answer this question you have to find how many different properties work to help you find how many items she will give to each team member.

Answer choice A is a way to write it.
Because each member receives 8 (which is what the 6 and the 2 in parenthesis adds up to and represents the total number of items given to each member) that can just be multiplied by the total number of members to get the total.

Answer choice B is incorrect because instead of taking each individual item and giving it to each person its multiplying all of he values together.

Answer choice C represents the situation properly. Since there are 12 members on the team and each member gets 6 socks you can count the total number of socks given and then do the same for the headbands and add those totals together to get the total for all items.

Answer choice D is incorrect because it only gives items to one member and doesn’t get you the correct total of items.
