Answer:

Alexander Graham Bell, an American scientist invented the telephone. It has proved to be an extremely useful invention. It is not considered a luxury today. In fact, it is now a necessity. Even in small cities, towns and villages, more and more people now have telephones.

Each telephone has its own unique number. No two telephones in one city or town can have the same number. To talk to someone, we have to first dial his or her telephone number. Telephones are not only meant for social communication rather they are essential to encourage business. One can place and take orders, enquire, exchange information, book tickets, request for payments, track or report status of delivery, take or cancel appointments, etc.

Telephones are extremely convenient to exchange information. They save time, energy and labour of personally going and have any information. They are a big boon in times of emergency. It is said that in times of need, a telephone can literally save a life. Mobiles or landlines are meant to help us. We should not overuse them to count their disadvantages.

12. The civil rights movement was a struggle for social justice that took place mainly during the 1950s and 1960s for blacks to gain equal rights under the law in the United States. The Civil War had officially abolished slavery, but it didn’t end discrimination against blacks—they continued to endure the devastating effects of racism, especially in the South. By the mid-20th century, African Americans had had more than enough of prejudice and violence against them. They, along with many whites, mobilized and began an unprecedented fight for equality that spanned two decades.

13.  The first in-depth history of how domestic environments were exploited to promote the superiority of either capitalism or socialism on both sides of the Iron Curtain, Cold War on the Home Front reveals the tactics used by the American government to seduce citizens of the Soviet bloc with state-of-the-art consumer goods and the reactions of the Communist Party.

Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

Cry if the mother leaves the room, are easily soothed, and welcome her back when she returns

Explanation:

Attachment

This is simply known as the bond that exists between specific people (e.g. a mother and her child) emotionally and it often endures for a long period of time. The love of the mother is very important to normal social and emotional development.

Attachment Theory

This theory was stated according to John Bowlby's work that shows that children are biologically inclined to have attachments to caregivers as a means of increasing the chances of their own survival.

Secure Attachment

This is simply known as a form of an attachment where infants or young children have a high-quality, relatively unbreakable relationship with their attachment figure. In this case, the mother. In the Strange Situation, a securely attached infant may be upset when the caregiver or the mother leaves and also may be happy to see the caregiver or mother return, thereby getting back themselves quickly from any distress. When children are securely attached, they can use caregivers or mothers as a secure base for comfort.
