15 + 2x - 4 = 9x + 11 - 7x is always true. You can prove this by plugging in random values for x. I plugged in x = 0, (11=11), and x=1 (13=13).

2x + 3(4x-1) = 2(5x+3) = 4x is never true. When you try to solve for x, the x disappears.

2x +12x - 3 = 10x + 6 + 4x

14x - 3 = 14x + 6

-3 = 6  Not possible.

Select the correct answer from each drop-down menu. y = x2 + 2x − 1 y − 3x = 5 The pair of points representing the solution set
katen-ka-za [31]

ANSWER

(-2,-1)

(3,14)

EXPLANATION

The given system is

y =  {x}^{2}  + 2x - 1

y - 3x = 5

or

y = 3x + 5

Equate both of them:

{x}^{2}  + 2x - 1 = 3x + 5

This implies that,

{x}^{2}   - x - 6 = 0

(x - 3)(x + 2) = 0

x=-2 or x=3

When x=-2, y=y=3(-2)+5=-1

(-2,-1) is a solution.

When x=3 , y=3(3)+5=14

(3,14) is also a solution.

Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Primera vuelta;

Tercera vuelta

El tiempo de vuelta del jugador 1 = 2,18 minutos

El tiempo de vuelta del jugador 2 = 2,18 minutos

El tiempo de vuelta total del jugador 1 = (2,32 + 2,52 + 2,18) minutos = 7,02 minutos

El tiempo de vuelta total del jugador 2 = (2,62 + 164/75 + 2,18) minutos = 524/75 minutos = 6.98\overline 6 minutos

La diferencia del tiempo total de carrera = (7.02 - 524/75) minutos = (1/30) minutos = 0.0\overline 3 minutos
