The main reason why the Mesopotamians were fortunate to live in the fertile crescent is because this was a place of unparalleled soil fertility--meaning that they had the best chance of growing the most crops.
<span>Between 1790 and 1900 American cities expanded steadily. The Industrial Revolution brought new products and opportunities to learn new skills to the common citizen. People left their farms and moved to cities with the hope of improving their standards of living.</span>
Some of the problems were gangs around the cities, low wages, and bad living spaces.
