What does "What scale would be appropriate to graph the data?" mean?
shusha [124]

I think it means which graph is the best at representing the data or data set.

For example if you were to graph the population of an animal you would use a line graph to represent the data

If you were determining how much percentage you would get  a job you would use a pie graph. Etc

Consider the line y= -7/4x+8
VARVARA [1.3K]
Perpendicular line has slope that multiplies to -1
paralel line has same slope

y=mx+b
slope=-7/4
perpendicular
4/7
(-7,-2)
-2=4/7(-7)+b
-2=-4+b
add 4 both sides
2=b
y=4/7x+2

paralel
y=-7/4x+b
-2=-7/4(-7)+b
-2=49/4+b
minus 49/4 from both sides (-2=-8/4)
-57/4=b
y=-7/4x-14.25

perpendicular
y=4/7x+2
paralel
y=-7/4x-14.25

You are planning a trip to the city. The distance is 270 miles. If you drive at an average speed of 45 mph and you leave at 1:30
Agata [3.3K]
First let's find how many hours it will take to get there.
270/45 = 6
It will take 6 hours to get there.

6 hours past 1:30 is 7:30.

The answer is 7:30 p.m.

Hope this helped! If you have anymore questions or don't understand, please comment or DM me. :)
