<u>S </u><u>O </u><u>L </u><u>U </u><u>T </u><u>I </u><u>O </u><u>N:</u>

Let's assume that the given rectangle be ABCD and in that let ∆ABC be the right angled triangle formed from it.

Now we've been asked to find out the breadth. By applying Pythagoras theorem here in our rectangle ABCD we have,

  • length (l) = 30cm

  • diagonal (d) = 34cm

  • breadth (b) = ?

:\implies\tt{ {b}^{2}  =  {d}^{2}  -  {l}^{2} }

:\implies\tt{ {b}^{2}  =  {34}^{2}  -  {30}^{2} }

:\implies\tt{ {b}^{2}  = 1156 - 900}

:\implies\tt{ {b}^{2}  = 256}

:\implies\tt{b =  \sqrt{256} }

:\implies\tt{b = 16}

For the formula of area (a) = ? it is given by,

:\implies\tt{a = l \times b}

:\implies\tt{a = 30 \times 16}

:\implies\tt{a = 480 {cm}^{2} }

For the formula of perimeter (p) = ? is given by,

:\implies\tt{p = 2 \times (l + b)}

:\implies\tt{p = 2 \times (30 + 16)}

:\implies\tt{p = 2 \times 46}

:\implies\tt{p = 92cm}

  • The breadth, area and perimeter of rectangle is 16, 480cm² and 92cm.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the breadth use Pythagorean theorem

Breadth² = diagonal² - length²

               = 34² - 30²

               = 1156 - 900

               = 256

Breadth = √256 = 16 cm

Breadth = 16 cm

Perimeter = 2*(length + breadth) = 2*(30 + 16) = 2*46 = 92 cm

Area = length * breadth = 30 *16 = 480 cm²

What is the axis of symmetry for f(x) = -3x2 + 18 - 7
solong [7]

The vertex form:

y=a(x-h)^2+k\\\\(h,\ k)-vertex

The axis of symetry is x = h.

y=ax^2+bx+c\to h=\dfrac{-b}{2a}

We have

f(x)=-3x^2+18x-7\to a=-3,\ b=18,\ c=-7

Substitute:

h=\dfrac{-18}{(2)(-3)}=\dfrac{-18}{-6}=3

<h3>Answer: x = 3</h3>

Answer:

{- 1, 0, 4 }

Step-by-step explanation:

the range is the y- coordinates of the plotted points

the coordinates of the points are

(- 4, - 1 ) , (1, 0 ) , (1, 4 ) with y- coordinates - 1, 0, 4

then range is { - 1, 0, 4 }
